There are a variety of ways to skip the line at the Colosseum. Firstly you could obtain your ticket from either the Roman forum or the Palentine Hill which have much shorter lines than the Colosseum, as most people do not realise its a combined ticket. The Roman Forum and Palentine Hill are located within a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum. Once you have purchased your ticket, you will only need to wait in the security line, before going straight to the turnstile.
The second option is to purchase either a 2 or 3 day Roma Pass. Roma Pass holders will enter like regular ticket holders, with only a security line.
The third option is to purchase a ticket online through the official Colosseum website. The reservation fee an extra 2€ and the website link is CoopCulture.
The fourth option is to join a guided tour.
