Taste the best of Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood with this 4-hour walking food and wine tour. Visit 5 locally loved venues for over 20 delicious tastings, while admiring the beautiful architecture, cobblestone streets and ivy-coated buildings. Tastings include 30 year aged balsamic vinegar, truffles, cheese, hams, D.O.C.G wine, pizza, homemade pasta, gelato and more. In between tastings, receive an insight into the history and culture, which define this Roman neighborhood.
Your tours begins at Trapizzino, where you will taste the roman suppli, Parmigiano Reggiano drizzled with a 30 year aged balsamic vinegar, truffles on asiago and D.O.C.G Pecorino Romano wine.
Following Trapazzino taste a variety of pizza al taglio with Italian craft beer at La boccaccia, one of the best pizzerias in Rome. Favorite toppings include prosciutto with fig, fresh ricotta with baby zucchini and potato.
Enjoy the best cheeses and hams Italy has to offer, at the award winning salumeria La Proscuitteria, including Mozzarella di bufala, sweet Gorgonzola and Pecorino Romano. Decide which ham you prefer between Parma, San Daniele and Salami. To compliment the food, a glass of D.O.C.G Chianti wine will be offered to you.
Handmade pasta dishes will be served at the local favorite restaurant. The pasta dishes are gnocchi with four cheeses and ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach. D.O.C.G Vermentino wine is served to accompany the food.
The tour ends at the Fatamorgana gelateria. Become an expert in gelato, by learning how to spot the real from fake gelato. Favorite flavors include lemon from the Amalfi Coast and pistacchio from Sicily.

The tour takes place everyday at 5:00pm and 6:00pm, in the neighborhood of Trastevere, Piazza Triulussa. The tour meets daily at Trapizzino (Piazza Trilussa 46) Your guide will be holding a sign saying ‘The Roman Food Tour.
Our tour ends at the Fatamorgana gelateria (Via Roma Libera, 11) our guides can point you in the right direction for a taxi stand or bus stop.
