Trastevere Wine Tour

My family and I had a wonderful time making pasta and tiramisu with our charming instructor, Chef Alessandro. We joint a group of folks from Ohio and had a wonderful small cooking class. I love to cook and have made fresh pasta several times before with one of my daughters who also loves to cook. For my wife and other children, this was their first time making pasta. All of us thoroughly enjoyed this class. My wife and non-foodie kids learned the basics while my daughter and I learned a number of advanced tips that I’ve never seen on any cooking videos. It was a fantastic experience for all. The unlimited wine was fun too! We continued the wonderful experience as we got to consume the pasta and tiramisu that we made for lunch. The tiramisu turned out so delicious and we are all excited to take our lessons back home and make this wonderful food again. Chef Alessandro had us laughing and learning the entire time and even joined us at the lunch table to continue to fun conversations.The experience was incredible, the food was incredible, and the small class setting in a beautiful wine cellar of a lovely restaurant was incredible. I’d recommend this class to anyone visiting Florence. 10/10!

our tour guide Lilia was fantastic. she made sure that we saw as much as possible in the time we had and pointed out small details that we would have otherwised missed. she shared her wonderful knowledge about everything in the Vatican and kept the group together despite it being very busy. thank you Lilia for making our Vatican visit so memorable.

While in Rome, we visited many historic sites, saw many beautiful things. That being said, I'd have to say that The Roman Food Tour was the highlight of my vacation in Rome. Giulia was very accomodating and personable. Her explanations of the different foods and the history behind each dish made for a very delightful experience.The food was beyond delicious. I'm not sure if it was the ambience, the awe of being in Rome, the company of my beautiful wife, the fun way that Giulia ran her tour, or a combination of all aspects, but the food was amazing. Even a simple slice of prosciutto tasted so much better than it normally did.I have to mention that we weren't able to make our tour appointment originally due to increased construction and security in preparation for a huge upcoming event. No taxis or ubers were picking up because of this. We resorted to asking for a refund even though we knew the chances were slim (our tour was practically beginning already). The good folks at The Roman Food Tour found us an alternate site and held up the tour until we could make it out there. Who does that?! That in itself showed us that we booked with the right company.

My friend and I took the cooking class here, it was so much fun!! Sophia was our head chef and she was amazing, along with tinsae. He helped with clearing our plates and introducing wine. Both truly so helpful, people in our class struggled with the pasta mixing part and Sophia was extremely helpful.The instructions were clear and in english, she the gave us a recipe for afterwards.Both Sophia and Tinsae were AMAZING, laughing and joking with them the whole time. Also you get as much wine as you want;) not just one glass. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

We joined the Pasta-Tiramisu cooking course with Andrea. Very fun and well thought course! Very friendly and helpful host! A lot of wine, too ;) We made our own Pasta and Tiramisu and of course Andrea was amazing! :)

What a fantastic morning we had with our host Mishel and the team @romanfoodtour 😀 Athmosphere was so welcoming and great attention to every detail of the experience. We would definitely recommend it 👍 👌 😀

My new husband and I went to this class on the last day of our honeymoon and we had the BEST time! It was located very close to the Vatican, so location wise, it was great. We started the day there & then explored that part of the city. Prices vary, depending on time of day, but I would have paid a higher price if I had to. We had Marco as our instructor & he was amazing. We made delicious pasta and tiramisu, and drank LOTS of wine. Marco explained every step thoroughly and did it in such a fun and entertaining way. 10/10 would do it again!!

Hugely enjoyable experience. We were a large group, almost none of whom had ever made pasta or tiramisu, and now we can all do it like pros! Carlos was really good fun, singing and dancing as he took us through the lesson with passion and love, and the dishes were excellent. Free-flowing Prosecco and wine throughout were a bonus. Highly recommend this experience for all ages.

Our cooking class in Florence was one of the highlights of our trip! Alessandro was a fabulous teacher!! His passion for cooking is contagious. We can't wait to try these recipes at home! A+

This experience was awesome! We had the fun of learning how to make tiramisu & two kinds of pasta. The wine was fabulous as well! We had a fun time learning how to do these things with Michelle as our guide.

Andrea is friendly and approachable. He was patient with every single one in the class. He also taught the class with clear instructions and good English command. It’s fun making the pasta and tiramisu. I would like to suggest the cooking of pasta can be improved by adding in some other ingredients such as pancetta. The pasta was a bit bland but I love how the programme welcome guest with Prosecco. Free flow wine is good for people who enjoy drinking while doing activity at the same time.

Silvia was our host for the wine tasting and she was absolutely amazing. Everything she described tasted exactly as she explained, which made the experience even better. I’m so happy we did this and would highly recommend it!

Took an 11am class. Solid portions for pasta, ravioli, and tiramisu. Staff was super friendly and Mishel was great!!! You definitely get your money worth. Would do again!!!

This was one of the most fun and informative cooking classes I've been to, the experience is totally worth it, highly recommend it wether or not you are into cooking in general. Andrea was very helpful and guided us perfectly. You will definitely leave thinking "there's no way i will ever buy ready-made pasta again". 😉

Chef Alessandro was the perfect instructor for our group! He was charming and entertaining and he taught us how to make a lovely pasta dinner with tiramisu. It was casual and fun. I would do this course again in a second!

We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza and tiramisu class with Joe, our host. He looked after us really well and created a lovely atmosphere among our group. He gave us lots of valuable hints and tips and guided us all really well from start to finish. The pizza and tiramisu were delicious, we had unlimited Prosecco or wine, all extremely good too. Well worth doing!

Fantastic cooking class with Patrick and Jac. Really enjoyed the vibes and atmosphere, we made pasta and tiramisu all were extremely tasty, with plenty of wine and a limoncello to finish 🤌 (extra note… if the pasta isn’t going to plan they can save you 🤣)

We had a fabulous time on the Prati food tour for my partners birthday, Michael our guide was so friendly and made the experience really interesting by explaining what we were eating and drinking. We met a lovely couple on the tour and we all enjoyed heaps of amazing food and wine, plus a lot of laughs. The Roman Food Tour was phenomenal!! Eddy was quite entertaining keeping everyone in the class involved in the event. What really made the event were the participants. We had the opportunity to meet people from several different countries. Connections were made that could lead to lasting friendships. I highly recommend this tour if you’re interested in learning something new!

Guilia was the perfect host - friendly & knowledgable. All the venues we visited were lovely but we particularly enjoyed the Essenza Wine Bar for the cured meats and cheeses. All the wines we had were good too. What a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Today we joined a cooking class through The Roman Food Tour, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. During the class we learned how to make fresh ravioli pasta and a delicious tiramisu from scratch. After cooking, we all sat down together to enjoy the meal, paired with natural, unfiltered wines and finished with a wonderful limoncello.The class was actually a surprise for my father’s birthday, and the team made it extra special by bringing out the tiramisu with a candle just for him. Such a thoughtful touch!From start to finish we had an amazing time. Andrea was a fantastic host, enthusiastic, welcoming, and full of great energy that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I had such a wonderful experience at this cooking workshop! Making fresh pasta and tiramisu from scratch was both fun and incredibly rewarding. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming from the very beginning.A special shoutout to the instructor who led the workshop — (I don not remember his name but he wore glasses with dark curly hair) and was extremely kind and engaging throughout the entire session. He made everyone feel comfortable, involved, and confident, no matter their level of cooking experience. What really stood out was how attentive and patient he was with everyone, always ready to help and encourage.He also shared a few personal stories along the way, which made the experience feel even more authentic and memorable. It didn’t feel like a formal class at all — more like cooking with friends while learning great techniques.Thanks to him, the whole group had a lot of fun, laughed together, and left with not only delicious pasta and tiramisu but also great memories. I would absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a fun, hands-on culinary experience!

So the experience it was amazing ! And the best it’s the humor and kindness of Leila [ the girl who teaches us] I went with my older sister and she loves to ! They serve a lot of wine and other drinks! 🍷 and we take a lot of pictures there! I give a 5/5 food good experience good ,Leila perfect and the others are very kind to !

Michael was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and kind , walking us through all the venues and providing a fun experience while guiding us through trying incredible foods/wine. It was also my moms birthday and he made it special for her!!

My husband, John, our son, Andrew, and I, Cindylu, embarked on a culinary adventure with The Roman Food Tour at Re Lab Local and Organic. As our first cooking class, we were filled with anticipation and curiosity. Our Chef, though I can’t recall his name, was an absolute delight. We thoroughly enjoyed learning the art of making ravioli, fettuccine, and tiramisu. To top it off, we were able to enjoy the delicious fruits of our labor, leaving us in awe.Thank you so much for your exceptional hospitality and for creating such a memorable experience. I loved the pasta making class which including the tiramisu. It was easy and entertaining with engaging participants from all over. As a solo traveller, the host was very friendly and accommodating and I didn’t feel left out. I ended up eating a tasty own made pasta, ravioli and a good tiramisu to wash it down. Ohh and talk about the unlimited wine!! I opted for soft drinks which was also unlimited! Book this ! You won’t regret!!!

Giulia was a fantastic guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely charming, and able to answer every question we had. Her English was absolutely impeccable, which made it easy to connect with her right from the start. Even though our group consisted of only three people, she was highly motivated and shared a wealth of insights about Italian food culture, along with personal anecdotes that made everything come alive.The food was delicious, and there was certainly more than enough wine to accompany each tasting. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour — we truly had an amazing time.

Today me and my girlfriend went to the vine tasting with Giulia. In the Beginning I asked her if she can organize something for my girlfriend because today is her Birthday and she did such a good job. We got a tiramisu with a candle, it was really sweet. We learned a lot about Italian vine, cheese and truffle. Giulia was one of the nicest italians I have ever met and she did a really good job. Thank you for the experience :) And we will 100% recommend it to our friends that are coming soon to Roma 🫶🏼

Amazing time!! Me and my friends did this food making class and it was amazing! Great instructor, great food, better time. Fiore is funny and charismatic with so much knowledge of the food you are making as well as the fact that the wine made everything 10x better. Take the class, you won’t regret it!!

Patrick was an excellent teacher and it was a great experience. Making pasta and eating it and tiramisu also. Met some real good people in the class too. Plenty of wine if you wanted it. It was well worth the price.

If you’re in Rome you must do this! Amazing value for money, definitely bring a big appetite because you try so much different food and wines. We met Sylvia on time last Sunday for the food and wine tour. Her knowledge and understanding was fantastic. The restaurants we visited were amazing 👏 I would suggest you go on this tour hungry as I, personally, couldn't finish some food. I really enjoyed the tour.

We went on the Roman Food Tour of Trastevere with Giulia and it was a fantastic experience! There was tons of local food and wine and all of it was delicious! The Tour started with a taste of Roman street food (so good we ended up going back another day), a charcuterie board with Italian meats and cheeses, homemade pizza and pasta, and of course gelato! Giulia was super knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions about local cuisines and the origins/regions the food we were eating came from. In addition to fantastic places during our tour Giulia provided amazing local food recommendations the rest of our time in Rome which saved me a hours of trying to find places to eat. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rome!

Our girls group had such a great experience! We were paired with 3 other couples and all of our energy and excitement were matched by our fantastic chef Alessandro. We learned so much and appreciated that we were given the recipes after so we can keep practicing our newly learned skills. (And the wine was a great bonus!)

The way Alessandro transports his cuisine experience from his grandmother (la nonna) teachings to the reasons why he cooks today is very cravy. The environment and comfort he creates, makes you want to cook with your heart and soul and not just a "perfect" dish. Recommend this experience for everyone who wants to learn authentic Italian cuisine and know more about what makes Italy so special and unique for dishes like pasta and tiramisu!!

Husband booked a food tour last minute while on vacation here in Rome. Giulia was our guide and made the experience absolutely fantastic. She was kind, knowledgeable and so much fun! Highly recommend!

This cooking class was so much fun. I had a great time making friends and food. It was delicious and Cecilia was an excellent teacher and host. She worked hard and let us sit down and enjoy our drinks in between our prep work. I love that she shared recipes and tips so I can recreate at home. They were so kind and accommodating when I was running late.

Loved this food tour in Rome! Everything we tried was really good and the experience felt authentic and fun, especially the aceto balsamico di Modena tasting. It was a great way to enjoy the city and taste real Roman food and wine. Definitely worth it!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on The Roman Food Tour with Irene, specifically the Prati Tour. The variety of food was incredible — delicious meats, cheeses, traditional dishes, amazing gelato, and even a balsamic vinegar so good it deserves its own category. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and genuinely special. Irene was such a joy to spend the evening with. She was warm, positive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun while still sharing great insight along the way. One thing that really stood out was how attentive she was to our group, especially making sure there were great alternatives for a pregnant member of our party. That kind of care makes a huge difference. Highly recommend this tour and especially Irene if you’re lucky enough to get her as your guide.

I went with myself and 2 daughters 7&4. Carlos and the team were excellent and loved having the kids there. The children got to do everything and loved it. They even had the finest Italian hot chocolate to replace the wine. It was also great the way they encouraged all the participants at the table to interact together. A great food tour with an actual local!! We did this food and wine tour and there was plenty of both! We have lived in Rome and Naples for years and even we tried (and learned) a few new things! Marta was a great host and there was plenty of interesting discussions and also plenty of delicious food and wine! I highly recommend this tour.

The cooking class was amazing, I learned a lot as someone who doesn’t know how to cook. I would recommend this class to anyone travelling in rome. The lovely lady that was teaching us was Simona, she was amazing and really helpful 🫶🏻

Amazing experience from start to finish! Carlo is incredibly talented and the whole team is super friendly and welcoming. We learned how to make fresh pasta and tiramisù, and it was honestly so much fun. It was a high-quality experience to share with my husband, something different and truly enjoyable. We would absolutely do it again (or try another class!). As Romans, we already appreciated it a lot, but for foreigners, this experience is simply next level. Highly recommended!

This was the best tour I’ve done in my life! Alice is a chef with a vast knowledge of food and wine globally and she is so willing to share and is so much fun. The entire time flew past with so much learning and good food, good wine and great people! This class is an absolute must!

Irene was amazing! She was so informative and gracious about Italian gastronomy. Our family of 7, with kids included, loved every minute of it. Would definitely recommend! We will do it again when we come back to Rome.

If you have ever had even an iota of interest in cooking, you need to do this. Alice was an incredible teacher and what we made was fantastic. You'll want to buy a hand crank pasta machine by the time you are done, and you'll be making your own tiramisu as often as you like when you get home. Do not skip this

I recently had the pleasure of joining The Roman Food Tour, and it truly was the highlight of my first experience in Rome. Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but also charming and engaging, making the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. I only wish I had scheduled this tour earlier in my itinerary, as it greatly enhanced my understanding of local specialties and elevated all of my subsequent dining experiences throughout the trip. One standout moment was sampling a remarkable wine at our very first location; it quickly became my favorite of the trip! Awesome experience! My family and I (children-one college and one teen) signed up through Get Your Guide for a pasta, tiramisu cooking class with unlimited wine. We had a cooking class before in Italy years ago. Cooking instructor Alessandro was very entertaining! Hands on, fun and simple. You cook two types of pasta and make a tiramisu. He gives you the recipes, explains very well, offers great tips, and is very humorous. Highly recommend this class if you want to learn how to make two simple, delicious pastas and dessert. The cooking class is taught in a kitchen of a small restaurant so follow the address.

I absolutely loved going with my family, we had a lovely couple join us for this experience and they seemed to enjoy too! Our cooking instructor, Alessandro was full of energy! Our lesson wasn’t a lecture, it was more of a friendly talk about it, having laughs while cooking! This is a great experience if you are a foodie that doesn’t know much about food, but about how it tastes only, you’re able to learn the secrets behind these famous Italian foods! The food turned out delicious with the recipes given and a great teacher! We made tiramisu and two pastas types! When we come back, my family and I would love do this again!

Alessandro is an amazing chef and instructor! He made the whole environment very welcoming and friendly. It felt like you were cooking with friends. There was more than enough food, laughs, and learning to go around. We made two popular kinds of pasta and tiramisu. It was a wonderful experience and I feel like I really was able to immerse myself in Italian culture. I absolutely recommend this to anyone coming to Florence! It is a must to truly appreciate your time in Florence!
