Wine-Tasting on a vineyard near Rome

Visit an award winning vineyard near Rome to savor the finest wine in Lazio, followed by lunch at one of Italy’s best restaurants, on this special day trip in the Roman countryside. From the center of Rome, you will arrive at the Castel de Paolis vineyard by luxury minibus. A sommelier will guide you around the vines and wine cellars, to learn about the winemaking methods from grape to bottle. Wine tastings include three types of vino (Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G, Donna Adriana and Campo Vecchio). Food and wine pairings cheese, prosciutto, olives and snacks.
Following the vineyard, you will be taken to the nearby town of Castel Gandolfo; the pope’s summer residence. Its known as one of Italy’s most picturesque towns, overlooking Lake Albano.Your guide will lead you for a short stroll around the cobblestone streets of this quaint town explaining points of interest.
Lunch will be at the beautiful restaurant La Gardenia. Here you will be served local fine wine, linguine with lobster and gnocchi with fresh black truffles. Sit outside on the terrace to enjoy the breathtaking views of lake Albano.
Enjoy coffee and tiramisu in an ancient Roman cave under the restaurant.
You will end the perfect day, with a short train trip back to Rome with your guide.
