When it comes to pizza al taglio, it doesn’t get much more expensive than Pizzarium. However, despite prices being higher than any other pizzeria near the Vatican or in Rome for that matter, it’s still worth a visit.
The owner is a famed baker and pizzaiolo, named Gabriele Bonci, known as the Michelangleo of Pizza.
Pizza prices range from 15 euro per kilo for the more traditional options, such as margherita and potato.
More flamboyant toppings such as fig and prosciutto, as well as burrata with anchovies, can be priced upwards of 30 euro per kilo.
Try their suppli (fried rice balls) which come in creative fillings.
